J+B’s Berkshires Wedding

From the desk of: Courtney DeAngelis

Besides fully executing a wedding day, there is nothing we love more as event planners than re-living that day after getting photos back!

Just to give you a bit of background, J+B’s wedding was planned from start to finish in just over one year, and in that year our planning team and J+B had: 23 planning meetings, a floral meeting, floral viewing, a rental site visit, print site visits and 2 venue site visits in addition to many, many, internal vendor, and venue calls. That is pretty standard when working with a full service planning company but sometimes it even wows us to write it out like that!

On the day of the wedding weekend our team is the first to show up on site and is there the entire time to ensure everything for our bride and groom goes smoothly. When there are issues that arise, it is our job to ensure that the bride and groom do not have to worry about anything happening behind the scenes while we handle the situations… as we say: we stress so that you don’t have to!

Our first task at hand the day before the wedding was to set up the ballroom for the reception and organize all of our supplies for the next day. As their weekend guests start to trickle in and the day progresses on, we run through our ceremony rehearsal and send the couple and their guests to the rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks.

As the big wedding day arrives we are bouncing around from our Bride & Bridesmaids to ensure they are all getting ready and on track with our hair/makeup schedule, they are eating food and drinking water, and overall having a good time! Then checking in with our Groom & Groomsmen to ensure they are on schedule and having their lunch, playing lawn games, and on track to get ready… all while simultaneously handling the room set-ups throughout the multiple spaces we are in and confirming all of our vendor arrivals at their scheduled times.

For this particular wedding, we had an outdoor ceremony, indoor/outdoor cocktail reception and indoor ballroom for our dinner & dancing reception.

The bride and groom were super involved in envisioning their special day. The bride had a very specific style that was vintage with a colorful twist and we think we really nailed it! Their guests danced the night away and we certainly cannot forget about their guest of honor, their pup!! He was an integral part of the day and looked dashing in his custom tux.

We hope this gives you a little insight into J+B’s special day!
