Welcome Madeline

From the Desk of: Madeline Michalowski

Hi everyone! My name is Madeline and I could not be more excited to be AE’s newest Event Assistant. I recently graduated from Boston University’s College of Communication this past May and am originally from Connecticut. I am also a ballet dancer, beach lover, avid traveler, and middle-child (AKA incredibly independent and wonderful).

I've been fascinated by the world of events for as long as I can remember, dating all the way back to my longstanding, meticulously curated Pinterest wedding board that I look forward to executing one day. For a long time, though, I viewed event planning as more of an interest than a realistic career path. It felt incredibly niche, and I knew no one that had worked in the industry, so for a long time I wrote it off as "just a hobby of mine.”

Throughout my time at Boston University however, I found a love for hosting any and every kind of party to bring my loved ones together in my apartment. Every friend’s birthday, holiday, or just because on a Friday night I wanted to pick a theme, run the errands, and see the smiles on my friends faces when they felt the joy of being in a room that was made for them to enjoy. That is when I realized I loved the art of events more than a little. I felt fulfilled by it and was told time and time again by the people around me that it was what I was meant to do.

From there I took that realized passion and explored opportunities in event production around Boston, building a place for myself in the industry professionally after graduation. That journey has ultimately led me here—a place that a younger version of myself never would have imagined possible.

I look forward to being a part of this team that cares so deeply about shaping and delivering memorable, distinctive celebrations for its clients. Because nothing compares to seeing the impact these events have: the funds raised for meaningful causes, old friends reunited, the beginning of a lifelong love story, or the small details people carry with them long after the event is over. Here’s to creating more of those moments through this role!!
