Welcome Sarah!

Hello Everyone, 

I’m delighted to be joining the AE Events team and introduce myself to you all!

I’m Sarah, the new Event Assistant. I recently graduated from James Madison University in 2020 where I received a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management. While I was there, I was able to expand my knowledge and experiences in the hospitality field and continuing to grow my love for events.

Originally my love for events stemmed from my family parties growing up and specifically my family’s Thanksgiving party. Every year family from both my mom and dad’s side come to our house to celebrate and it usually ends up being around 30-40 people with a record high of 51. With all of us sitting down for dinner at one long table expanding through two rooms you can imagine it takes some planning to execute. Being a part of that process at a very young age introduced me to the world of event planning and I’ve been exploring it ever since.

I am originally from Cape Cod where I grew up in downtown Sandwich but in September will be moving to Somerville and I’m excited to explore the area. When I’m not working you can usually find me at the beach in the summer, being crafty and working on my pottery, or spending time with friends or sisters. During quarantine I enjoyed spending my time cooking or baking, going for long walks, and reading which I’ve tried to continue incorporating in my life as the world shifts back to normal.

I look forward to working with the AE team on their broad list of events and clients and gaining further knowledge and experiences in event planning.
