Pro Lessons from Event Planners

From the desk of: The Team at AE Events

We like to think we know a little something about event planning but we have also learned a whole bunch of other skills while planning events. Here are some we thought we would share!

Phoebe: How to open a door with your foot while carrying multiple boxes.

Amy: I’ve learned to read someone’s mind by the expression on their face.

Kate: There is such thing as being in “event shape”

Christine: How to think 10 steps ahead - always!

Jessica: If plan A fails (thank you, COVID...) don’t worry, we’ve got a plan for the 25 other letters in the alphabet!

Courtney: Always carry a portable charger and how to get changed into formal ware in a venue bathroom stall in less than 10 minutes.

Sarah: I’ve learned how to be flexible and switch from plan A to plan B to even plan C while still looking seamless to the client/guests, and also always having a working pen on hand!

Carrie: How to warmly and appropriately welcome guests 15 different ways, so as not to sound like a parrot

Caitlin: How to remember the last place you left your clipboard on site

Let us know some fun tricks you have learned!
